ANGLICAN, GIRLS' CLUBS

A programme of music and elocutionary items was contributed by the following:—Miss Mclntosh (Wellington' city club), pianoforte solos; Miss Corser (St. Augustine's, Petone), songs; Miss Ellison (Wellingt6n city), recitation; Miss Goudin (St. Mark's), songMiss Anderson (All Saints), pianoforte solo; Miss Douglas (All Saints), .song, .A play entitled 'Wanted, a Cook" was produced by Misses B. Charles, Marley, Edwards, Rust, and Mrs. Ball (Berhampore Club).
Trophies and certificates were then presented by Mrs. Sprott to the successful competitors. St. James' Club was successful in winning the basketball'shield, while . Wellington City Club was equally successful in gain-
ing the pingpong, and tennis shields. Miss Watson referred to the loyal service always displayed by Mrs. Sprott and her enthusiasm in promoting the aims and interests of the A.G.C.S., and asked her to accept from the executive a beautifully-bound volume of Morcton's "In the Steps o£ the Master." She was, also presented with a bouquet, when all present sang "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow" and gave her three hearty cheers. 1 - , Supper was served and a social halfhour followed.
