SEQUEL TO AUCKLAND RAID

AUCKLAND, November 4.

Following a police raid in Nelson Street, Ah Lee, a Chinese gardener, charged with being the occupier of premises and permitting them to be used for the purpose of smoking opium, was fined £100 by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, ' S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.

Several other Chinese found on the premises were fined sums of £30 and £20 each, according to circumstances.
