A BITTER BROADCAST
"ITALY'S FATAL ENMITY"
THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR
SANCTIONS
(Received November 4, 10.15 a.m.) ASMARA, November 3.
Count Ciano, in an extraordinary broadcast addressed to America, declared: "The troops advance and the Italian people hourly are being brought closer together, rallying to the sacred person of the Duce. Sanctions, which the League has voted in madness, will be borne with determination and heroism unparalleled in the history of mankind. Those responsible for sanctions will no longer be able to enjoy citizenship of the civilised world,,and the eternal hatred of Italy will be directed against them. Our hatred is unforgiving. History has shown that Italy can give precious friendship but fatal enmity."
