STATE FINANCE IN BRITAIN
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, November 2. The "Daily Telegraph" states that the Government is guaranteeing £25,000,000 in loans to finance the principal railways programme of replacing rolling stock, modernising stations and other facilities, and relaying tracks. This will employ 4000 men for every £1,000,000 spent.
