Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for October 25 being in parentheses:—
Cotton. —Liverpool quotation, gooi American middling, spot 6.45 d a lb (6.47 d); December delivery, 6.15 d a lb (6.14 d).
Rubber.—Para, 5 7-8 d a lb (5Jd!: plantation smoked ribbed sheet 6 3-8 d a lb (6 7-16 d).
Jute.—November-December shipment, new season's Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £20 7s 6d a ton (£l9 2s 6d).
Copra.—November-December shipment, South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £12 17s 6d a ton (£l2 2s 6d); smoked to Marseilles or Genoa, £12 10s a ton (£ll 17s 6d); plantation Rabaul to London or Rotterdam. £14: a ton (£l3 2s 6d).
Linseed 0i1.—£27 5s a ton (£27 15s) Turpentine.—47s 6d a cwt (46s 9d).
