BELLA ROSA'S RETIREMENT
Bella Rosa, a five-year-old mare by Jericho from Couleur de Rose, is running m one of J. S. Shaw's paddocks • * i cc? rton' and her owner-trainer intends to leave her there, unless he can.find a buyer: Bella Rosa won some races on the West Coast in the autumn; prior to which she had won only a division of a novice event. As a result pf her West Coast trip she now has to race under weights that have proved an anchor to success, so Shaw has decided not to go on with her.
