The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) arrived in Wellington by the steamer express from LytteHon loday and left immediately by rail-car lor Napier, where he is to address the annual conference of the Associated' Chambers of Commerce. He will leave Napier on his return to Wellington late this afternoon. Mr. Forbes will spend tomorrow in Wellington, and will leave in the evening for the south. The Prime Minister is expected to open his campaign for the Hurunui seat at Rangiora on Friday night. Tributes to the services of Mr' T Brodie, who has been a member of the staff of Wellington College for more than 30 years and whose marriage is shortly to take place, were paid' yesterday by members of the CollegeBoard of Governors. A motion was passed extending to him the board's good wishes. Such service as Mr Brodie's endeared the school to old boys and encouraged them to continue allegiance to the school in after years. Mr. V/.-T. Ikin, manager- for New Zealand of the A.M.P. Society, accompanied by Mrs. Ikin, left Wellington by the Limited on Sunday evening for Auckland to meet Mr. A. W. Sneddon, the general manager of the society. Mr. Sneddon is accompanied- by Mrs Sneddon and Mr. H. L. Cranswick, new business superintendent • .-■ ■ Mr. E: E. Brooking, who replaces' tha late Mr. J.
