COLOURFUL CHINESE WRESTLER.

Wong Bok Cheung, the clever Chinese wrestler, who arrived in New Zealand this week from Australia, will make his first appearance of the season at the Wellington Show Stadium on Saturday night against George Walker, claimant of the British Empire title. Wong was the youngest member of the 1934 team in the Dominion and he proved himself to be a fast and colourful wrestler who always gave an entertaining exhibition. During the fourteen months he has been in Australia Wong has developed considerably and is stronger and more solid. In Australia, as in New Zealand, he was a great favourite with the crowds and drew huge attendances to the Leichardt Stadium Wong is an expert at both the dropkick and the flying tackle and his famous "King Foo stopper" hold is one of the most devastating in modern wrestling. He has also developed a new hold which he calls the "Hong Kong squat." Since his last match here Walker has appeared before capacity houses in Christchurch and Auckland and is still the greatest drawing card in New Zealand wrestling. Particulars are advertised.
