LEECHES FOR BLEEDING
POPULARITY RETURNING
LONDON, October 22. "Back to the old practice of bleeding?" queried the Coroner of Dr. Keith Simpson, pathologist, at an inquest after the doctor had stated that the patient was bled to relieve high blood pressure. "Yes," replied the doctor. The "Daily Mail's" medical correspondent comments that the use of leeches to relieve an overburdened and inflamed organ, such as the jiver or heart, is returning .to popularity.
