SOCIAL AFTERNOON

In order to raise funds to donate to the Children's Health Camps the Wallaceville Women's Institute held a social afternoon which proved very successful. Mrs. Hopkirk presided. She welcomed all visitors and members, and the programme opened with the "grand march,'" followed by "musical chairs."

Solos sung by Miss Prouse and Mrs. Clyde were greatly enjoyed. Pupils of Mass Bellahamine performed a Dutch tap dance and a skip-ping-rope, dance. The winners of the games and competitions were Mesdames Harper, Ching, Wallace, and Miss. CBark.

A delicious afternoon tea was served by the committee. A. short period of dancing and the singing of the National Anthem concluded a pleasant function.
