TENDERS ACCEPTED
. Thirty tenders for public works that have been accepted by the Public Works Department are published in a Gazette issued yesterday. The works are in various parts of New Zealand, and range in price from a little over £100 to over £11,000, the aggregate value being over £73,800.
The contract to erect an additional storey on the General Post Office, Wellington, lias been let to W. Hodges for £8775, and other large contracts are as follows:—Waitangi Stream bridge on the Napier-Wellington main highway, Solon »nd McLean for £7229 3s: bitumen smoothing coat on the Wai-tati-Merton section of ~ the Christ-church-Dunedin main highway, New Zealand Highways Constructors, Ltd.. for £4275 Is; reconstruction and sealing the Wellington-Napier main highway in the Mauriceville County. £10,874 16s lid; macadam-bituminous penetration surfacing on the Papa-kura-Bombay section of the . Great South Boad main highway, H. Bray and Co., Ltd., for £11,322 11s 3d.
