PORIRUA MEETING
A meeting of the Porirua Women's Institute was held recently, the president (Mrs. Ryan) occupying the chair. One new member was welcomed, and five nominations received. . An interesting and instructive address on "Douglas Social Credit" was given by. Mrs. Graham. . Mrs. Ryan was appointed delegate to the half-yearly council meeting to.be held at Lower Hutt on October 30.: I Mrs. Wright read the report on PoriI rua activities, and Mrs. Goff spoke of the work of the Drama Circle. Suggestions relative to the programme for the. coming six months were received. . The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Goff, Eastwood, and Sievers. Mrs. Ryan thanked' Mrs. Graham for her address, and also the members who had helped to make.the birthday.party such an unqualified, success.
