LUKEY AND SCHOFIELD
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 13 .A little tired but remarkably fit nevertheless, L. G; Luliey and J. G Schofield, the "wheelbarrow tourists" arrived at English Park, Christchurch on Saturday afternoon, and were officially welcomed.
. On September 22 Lukey, who has completed a similar trip from Auckland to Wellington, set out from the Bluff to push his companion to Christchurch. 400 miles, in 20 days. When he reached Ashburton on Thursday he decided not to leave till 4 a.m. Friday, and attempt a 24 hours' record. He arrived at Christchurch at 5.50 a.m.'on baturday, and then went nearly to Kaiapoi and back, covering 72 miles in 24 hours. :
