INTERFERENCE WITH ORd
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 8, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The "Sydney Morning Herald" says: "The 1935 Metropolitan will go down in Turf history as one of the most startling events ever decided at Randwick. In a great struggle High Cross, who was showing the: effect of' the strenuous race, lugged in and impeded the progress of Curator, after which he" rushed towards the rails, causing interference With Oro. The latter responded gallantly but could not quite get on terms with High Cross. Until he began his erratic-course in the straight High' Cross had.run an excellent race. "•' :
"Sarcherie was' a 'disappointment, but Contact put' up an excellent performance after having been third, to last at one stage of the race! The New Zealander Grand Sport essayed an all-the-way win but had run himself out three furlongs from home. Berestor received a severe check at the half-mile and suffered cut legs."
