ELECTION OF OFFICERS
At the annual conference of the New Zealand Counties Association today, the following officers were elected:— President, Mr. C. J. Talbot (Fairlie); vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Ritchie (Bannockburn), "W. Morrison (Maxwell); executive. committee, Messrs. J. W. Anderson (Tirau), W. G. Belton (Waverley), K. W.• Dalrymple (Bulls). G. A. Monk (Reikorangi), W. Marshall (Paeroa), C. Matthews (Gisborne), \V. Tucker (Whakatu).M. Bethell (Amuri). F. R. Flatman (Geraldine), W. M. Norman (Southland), P. F. Ryan" (Paparua), the Hon. W..H. Mclntyre, M.L.C. (Millerton); honorary auditor, Mr. G. A. Monk. Mr. Talbot was formally installed as president by the retiring president, Mr. A. E. Jull, MJ 3., who said it was the first time a South Island representative j had been appointed president.
