ANOTHER RESIGNATION

WAIHI HOSPITAL STAFF

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

WAIHI, August 27,

Following the resignation of the medical superintendent, Dr. L. R. Hetherington, of Waihi Hospital, the assistant superintendent, Dr. F. G. Barrowclough, tendered his, saying he could no longer have any connection with a hospital which insisted on employing any incompetent member on its nursing staff. If this state of things prevailed, then he should feel that not only was the recovery of his own patients prejudiced in the institution, but that the responsibility of taking charge of' the hospital when he had to do so was too great.

It is expected that a .domestic staff of ten to replace those who resigned will be available tomorrow, but so far no applications have been received to replace the nursing staff.
