BROOKLINE (Mass.), August 23. Mrs. Dorothy Andrus and Miss Caroline Babcock won the final of the United States women's doubles tennis championship, defeating Misses F.James and K. E. Stammers (Britain), 6-3, 8-6. .F. X. Shields and F. A.^ Parker (U.S.A.) entered the semi-finals of. the men's doubles, defeating R. Menzel (Czechoslovakia) and E. Maier (Spain), 3-6, 6-3, 9-7.
