Consequently, winds from, between north-west and west have increased to Kale force at places in and south • of Cook .Strait, while in the northern - portion 1 of the Xorth Island moderate to fresh. southwesterlies wore still prevailing this morning. Mainly fair to fine in eastern areas. , ASSESSMENT COURT . ~* At the sitting of the Assessment Court on Thursday Samuel Brown, Ltd., objected to the valuation of £4350 unimproved value (improvements £7000) on ■ their lease--1 hold property in Johnston Street. The unimproved value of £10,200 (improvements £3000) on the property at the corner of Victoria and Harris Streets was objected to by the lessees, the Stellin Construction, Ltd. ' The Court adjourned until Tuesday.
