HUTT VALLEY FARMERS

There was a large attendance at a meeting of the-Hutt Valley branch of the New Zealand Farmers': Union held in the Record Hall, Upper Hutt, recently. Mr. J. J. Maher, presided. The provincial secretary of the Farmers' Union (Mr. Watson) discussed the Mortgage Corporation with members. ■ Mr.-Freeman, of the Department of 'Agriculture, Masterton, gave, an address on the Young Farmers?; Club« I A meeting of young.,men with farming interests is to be held on August 23 to form a club. Messrs. Maher and Scholes and the secretary (Mr. J. Blewman) were nominated to meet Mr. Freeman and the young men to give the club the necessary information about meetings, etc. ' '
