ISLAND BAY

FISHING WHARF WANTED Some time ago a deputation of Island Bay fishermen waited on the Minister of Marine (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe) with a request for a wharf at Island Bay. The members .of the deputation stated that they were prepared to supply proper facilities for cleaning- and storing fish-if they could get a wharf for unloading purposes. A further deputation will wait on the Minister on Tuesday morning to discuss the proposal further and'it is expected that some definite arrangement for the construction of the wharf will be reached shortly.
