Rumours are prevalent of an exciting "Wheelbarrow Derby" to be held at Lower Hutt ori the evening of Friday week, August 23, in aid of the furnishing of the proposed iHutt Valley Horticultural Society's hall. ' Among the names of the teams mentioned are the mayors and town clerks of the various boroughs, the president and secretary of the Horticultural Society,', and the presidents and secretaries; of several prominent societies, as well as the chairmen and secretaries of other local bodies. - ■
