CLUB FOR THE BLIND
APPEAL FOR FUNDS
The Wellington Social Club for the Blind, which was formed some weeks ago and has acquired-the use of a club room in Dixon Street for the seventy blind people in the city, has issued an appeal for ;funds with which to buy a piano and a radio set. The club hopes to become, self-sup-porting by ! holding various functions, but :is at present largely dependent on outside assistance.
The following officers have been elected:—Patron, Mr. B. Sutherland; president, Mrs. Knox Gilmer; vice-pre-sidents, Dr. J. H. Beaumont, Messrs. J. Barnao, F. J. Carnegie, C. H. Chapman, M.P., G. Guthrie, H. Lobb, J. F. Lilley, K. McKeen, M.P., B. S. Reinhardt, J. Spence, L. Vrede, and R. A. Wright, M.P.
