STILTS SHOWS PROMISE

Stilts, a rather nice-looking hunter by the Hallowmas horse Halifax, won the heavyweight event at the Waverley point-to-point • last Saturday in good style. Starting from the limit mark he ran about a bit at the first double but afterwards fenced really well.

Mr. A. McNab, who acquired Stilts about 15 months ago, has always had a good opinion of him and was confident regarding his chances on Saturday. Stilts has been steadily improving of late and he may race at the Combined Meeting at New' Plymouth at the end of next month..
