GRAND OPERA CONTEST.
The grand opera contest which is being held in conjunction with the Wellington Competitions Society's 1935 'festival, commencing on August 24, has already attracted a' great deal of interest among singers. The competitors must be born in Australia or New Zealand and be over 17 and under 30 years of age on August 23,1935, An advertisement published today indicates that particulars may be obtained from the secretary of the society, 35 Taranakl Street.- Entries close on August 12.
