RETURNING VIA CANADA

The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, decided last night that the AlLßlacks, who are to leave for Great Britain on. Wednesday, next, will return to the Dominion via Canada and play three matches at Vancouver. . The suggestion is to. be made to the' Canadian Rugby Union that the matches be • played on ' a 'percentage basis, with a .minimum guarantee to the New Zealand Union of £500. ... . ■'■...' PRESENTATION l 6 TINDILL ■ The staff, of the Government Printing Office assembled at noon today to make a. presentation to E. "VV. Tindill, who was for some years employed in th,e office,. ■ ■ In presenting him with a wallet, Mr. G. H. Loney, the Government Printer, congratulated Tindill on his selection, and said that all members of the staff were very proud and happy to think that he had.belonged to the office for ten years. 'They all hoped that he would return covered with glory, and could not let him v go without some token of their affection. ; Tindill replied briefly, thanking the office ■ for the ■ honour conferred on him. ■■■■■. ' ' FAREWELLED BY COLLEGE Messrs. Griffiths and Sadler, two old boys, were given a rousing reception when they visited Wellington College at ../the invitation of the headmaster (Mr. I W. A. Armour). The speakers were >Mr. Armour and Messrs. M. C. Barnett (president of the Wellington College Old. Boys', jj'ootball Club), J. Prendeville, Len McKenzie, T. Beard (who coached , Sadler and Griffiths when they were at college), and the head, prefect. The various Old Boys' Association clubss were represented at the gathering. ,
