INDOOR BOWLING
P. AND T. TOURNAMENT
Friendly rink games at the Winter Show indoor bowling green on Saturday resulted as follows, skips only being mentioned:— Doherty beat Reid, 24-14- Raven beat Rodger, 26-17; Ross tied with Stonebanks. 18-all; Ricketts beat Bur'budge, 21-15; Lawrie beat Wearne, 22-20; Walker beat Conder, 21-20; Duncan beat Ulmer, 19-3. A tournament will be held at the indoor green this evening commencing at 7.30. This takes the place of the one which would have been held on Saturday evening but for the Post and Telegraph Department's tournament. The JP. and T. tournament (five games of five heads, changing places in rinks with each game), resulted in the following coming out on topiLeads, Cook, 5 wins; No. 2's, Christopherson, 4 wins and 1 loss; No. 3's, Bell. 5, wins; skips, 'Hamilton and Hill, tied with 4 wins and 1 loss. In the playoff (three heads) Hamilton became the winner. 'The prizes, which were presented by the Chief Postmaster, Mr. J. M. McLesin, consisted of cases of teaspoons in each instance. The indoor bowling badges are fast held by Goldfinch, Wylie. O'Gorman, and Shillson (s). This rink met Lonsdale, McDonald, Erwin, and Johnson (s) on Saturday and won 25-17.
There were two games for the ferns last week. These trophies ai-e now held by Bell, Allen, Johnson, and Rodger (s).
