R. G. Holland, 75, 6—69, and O. Clarke, 92, 23—69, headed the qualifying round for the Pulley Cup played on Saturday last, when there was an entry of 50. Players with net scores of 81 and under qualified and the first and second rounds must be completed next weekend. . . ■

The weekly bogey competition resulted in a tie between W. F. Gill (11) and H. H. C. Ribbands (5) both all square and. they scored 3 points each in the Winter Cup. W. D. Lindop (15) and W. R. Chambers (9) 1 down were next and scored 1 point each. Other cards: R. G. Holland (4) 2 down and J. B. Wallace (5) 3 down.

C. Russell (24) beat T. J. Harvey (17) 1 up in the semi-final of the R. C. Kirk Memorial Cup and now meets W. F. Gill (14) in the final over 36 holes. Both finalists have played steady and consistent golf and the final should be close.

R. G. Holland (4) and C. Halford (18), 6 up, won the fourball bogey; other cards: G. Hogg (5) and R. D. Jameson (17) 4 up, W. D. Lindop (15) and H. X H. C. Ribbands (5) 4 up, W. F; Gill (11) and W. E. Anderson (14) 3 up. Next Saturday a flag match and hidden holes competitiqn will be played, and on Sunday a stroke competition. Net and gross scores will be- taken for the latter. . ■ . V ," 4'
