MELBOURNE, This Day.
Addressing a congregation that included the Governor, Lord Huntingiield, at St. Paul's Cathedral, Canon Crotty declared that women were becoming increasingly reluctant to bear ..ons to be slaughtered in wars fomented to increase the profits of armament v>anufacturers. "Vested interests," he said, "are <ttn\:rned in the perpetuation of war, whereby vast fortunes are made- out of I •he slaughter of innocent people."
