Big River Gold Mining reports for week ended July 11 as follows:—No. 4 south drive advanced 7ft, country good; nothing of value. No. 4 north drive advanced Oft; storvi cut out. South stope. stone Gft wide, of good qualify. North slope, stone 2ft Gin, length 20ft Rise slope, stone patchy; widest 2ft. North winze, sunk sft, full face of stone. Shaft, timbered and filling another Gft. Sent to battery, 59 lons. GOLDEN SANDS. Mr. R. T. Tosswill, chairman of directors of Golden Sands, Ltd., informed I shareholders al the annual meeting! l that wovk on Ute back leads at W\e \ claim ("West Coast) began early in June, and three shifts had recovered 350z Bd\vt of gold. The area had been 'well prospected. It was twice the ex- 1 tent of the front leads and approximately half as deep again, which meant that there were several years of uninterrupted sluicing ahead.
