NEW YORK, July 9,

Thirty-seven persons are dead and seven are missing as a result of floods which swept the central and northern parts of New York State yesterday. Property damage is estimated at more than 10,000,000 dollars. Sudden heavy rains resulted in the inundation of several small villages. Most of the casualties were motorists caught on lowland highways. Two thousand people are temporarily homeless in a score of cities and villages. ,
