PLAYER IN HOSPITAL

TEAM FOR TODAY'S CAME

(Received July 10, noon.) ERISBANE, This Day. After having contracted a slight chill on the train journey from Sydney, J. C. Reedy, the Maoris' star five-eighth, developed a temperature at Warwick and was sent to hospital last night. His condition is not serious but an influenza epidemic is raging here and the team's joint managers sought only to avoid the risk of an outbreak in the team. Reedy will probably be able to travel to Brisbane with the team on Thursday.

The Maori team for today's match against Warwick has been chosen as follows:—Full-back, G. Nepia; threequarters, J. McDonald, C. Smith, J. Hemi; five-eighths, H. Harrison, T. Chase;' half-back, G. E. Mellish; forwards, B. Rogers, H. Mataira, W. Cooper, L. Kawe, G.: Harrison, J. Kershaw, H. Whiu, and K. Reedy.

In the Warwick team J. Purtell replaces J. Mole (three-quarter) and T. Cleary replaces Purtell in the forwards. The name Stemm previously cabled should read.Stenn.

Rain is still falling and the ground is heavy.

With two five-eighths out of action (it was reported on Monday that Kotua had a poisoned leg) it has been necessary for the Maoris to play one of the half-backs, H. Harrison, as a five-eighth.
