WORST ENGLISH RAILWAY DISASTER FOR YEARS.— A view of the wreckage after the ivorst train smash in the history of the London and North-Eastern Railway, ivhich occurred at Welwyn Garden City Station shortly 'before midnight on June 15. An express train from King's Cross, laden chiefly with Sunday newspapers, crashed into a Neivcastle-bound.express, which was standing at the station. The parcels train telescoped the rear carriages of the express, fifteen persons being killed and forty injured, many seriously.
