HOCKEY PLAYER'S DEATH

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A verdict of death from cerebral pressure caused through an accidental blow on the head was returned at an inquest on Philip McKeown, aged 22, of Levin, who collapsed after playing in a hockey match at Feilding on June 3 and died in the Palmerston North Hospital a few hours later.

The evidence showed that the game was a good clean one. No player actually saw the deceased receive the injury of which he subsequently complained.
