Sir George Touche was the head of the firms of Geo. Touche and Co., London and Birmingham, and Montreal, Toronto, etc., and Touche, Niven, and Co., New York, Chicago, etc. He was Sheriff of the City of London in. 1915----16. In the political field he represented North Islington in the Conservative interests from 1910 till 1918.- He was knighted in 1917, and was created a baronet in 1920. >.
