On the Sydney Stock Exchange today the investment market was generally strong,in view of the healthy state of Commonwealth finances, rains in the country, and continued satisfactory earnings by industrial and trading concerns. Sales: Colonial Sugar, £43 12s 6d; Bank of New South Wales, £31 17s 6d; Associated News, 23s 3d; ditto (pref.), 24s 3d; British Tobacco, 39s 3d; Tooth's Brewery, 55s 6d; Carlton Brewery, New Zealand delivery, 51s: Dun-lop-Perdriau Rubber, 16s 4£d; Greater J. D. Williams, 7s; Henry Jones Co-op., 375; Electrolytic Zinc, 27s 10£ d; Anthony Hordern, 19s 10£ d; Lustre Hosiery, 28s; Standard Cement, 235; Automatic Totes, 19s 6d; Broken Hill Proprietary, 60s; Rawang Tin, 7s 3d; Placer Development, £33 2s 6d; General Industries, 19s.
