ARRIVALI AT SOUTHAMPTON "ENGLAND WONT LET YOU DOWN"
(Received ■ July 8, 2: p.m.) ' ' LONDON, July 1.. " The steamer Karanj'a, landed at Southampton 945 British survivors of the! Quetta.'earthquake. The majority are womenfolk and children "of soldiers and airmen. All were provided . with railway warrants ' for the homeward voyage. ■'■'■- ' ' The Secretary of State for India, the Marquis of Zetland,- sent a message expressing . the Government's sympathy, and this was conveyed by the Mayor, who said: "England is still England, and won't let you down."
