BRITISH PAIR'S WIN.
An hour after the doubles final Quist played in the semi-final of the mixed doubles, in which, apparently suffering reaction, he could do little right.-His partner was also unsafe, and by superior speed and stronger volleying Perry and Miss Round easily prevailed.
After winning the mixed doubles semi-final, Perry and Miss Round remained on the court awaiting M. Hopman and Mrs. Hopman, their opponents in the final.
With a 3-1 lead, the Hopmans began well enough to suggest the possibility of a completely Australian pair winning the mixed doubles for the first time in history.
