KILLED BY ONE FLAME

+ In one momentary burst of fierce flame from a still under reconstruction at the British Dyestuffs Corporation's Dalton Works, KurldersSeld, two men were killed. Twelve men were at work in a shed when the flame burst out from part of a plant. A second or two later, when the glare had gone, they found Thomas Tighe, aged 23, lying dead beside the plant, and George William Bolam, aged 31, unconscious and badly burned. He died later in hospital.
