SOLDIER SETTLERS
REQUESTS TO CABINET
(By. Telegraph—Press Association.) CAKTERTON, July 5. At a large meeting of returned soldier settlers, representing the Bush, Eketahuna, and Wairarapa districts; held at Carterton today, the following resolutions were carried unanimously:— (1) That the urgent revaluation of all returned soldier settlers' holdings be asked for on present-day prices of produce; (2) that all soldier settlers' business remain with the Commissioner of Crown Lands under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, and that this resolution be sent to the Dominion executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association requesting the Government to bring down an amendment to the Mortgage Corporation to permit returned soldiers to remain under the Act; (3) that all resolutions having the unanimous support of this meeting be forwarded to the Dominion executive of the R.S.A. requesting them to forward the resolutions to all branches throughout the Dominion, and their decisions forwarded to the Dominion executive with the demand that Cabi-j
