MRS. SPROTT ENTERTAINS
Mrs. Sprott held her usual verypleasant afternoon tea party at St. Paul's schoolroom yesterday when she entertained all the members of Synod, their wives, and a number of other friends, workers in St. Paul's and other parishes.
The table was charmingly arranged with yellow and white narcissi, and the tea was a very pleasant opportunity for friends to meet those from the country parishes.
Opportunity was taken to present Mrs. Sprott with a dainty green and white basket, filled with lovely spring flowers. Mrs. Hansell, who made the presentation, assured Mrs. Sprott of the affection felt for her by the wives of the clergy, and of the universal regret felt that the Bishop and herself would be relinquishing the work they had carriefi on so splendidly for very many years.
Mrs. Sprott expressed her keen pleasure at the gift and at the kindly thoughts which prompted it.
An interesting guest present was Mrs. Algar Williams, Wairarapa, who is the only lady member of Synod.
