RAIL TRIPS TO THE CHATEAU.
The Railway and Tourist Departments are again co-operating in offering low-cost weekend trips to the Chateau Tongariro. The signs indicate that this season's business will show, an increase on previous tallies, which were regarded as very satisfactory. Devotees of winter sports have had merry hours in ski sprints on the big snowfields near the cosy hostel, which is one of the best-equipped guesthouses of New Zealand or Australia.
