WRESTLING ON MONDAY.
Strenuous and skilful wrestling■ b£ a Monday night between • Lofty Blon> | field (New Zealand) and Glenn Wade , Tt ca i The progress that isiomSd"has made mV last few months has amazed many, of those who^aw him in action previously. He is a big m™ and was always a.powoftd md determined wrestler, but his recent visit to the United States, where he (successfully competed against some.ot the leading matmen m the country, gave him experience which enabled him to bring the holds he had already employed to a greater stage of perfection, and also taught him new.manoeuvres which now stand him in goad stead. Added to which, he is a shrewd campaigner in the pß?nd.lsC ally regarded as being able to extend any of the other wrestlers in . the country and beat most of them. B omfield's match with Wade at Auckland created remarkable enthusiasm among a large attendance of spectators and both men received high tributes from the Press. Wade has already appeared in Wellington this season and -.ia3 created a fine impression by reason ol his clever and purposeful; wrestling. He is one of the most prominent, figures in the game in America, where one of his best performances was to hold Pesek to a draw in a bout last--ing two and a half hours. Particulars are advertised in this, issue. !
