RESCUES CHILDREN FROM FIRE. "

Dashing courageously into the smoke-filled room, Victor Sleigh, formerly a leading jockey and now a hotel licensee at Moonee Ponds, rescued his two infant daughters when a fire occurred at the hotel early today. Although' the flames were burning through the door of the bedroom, the children, when aroused by their father," were sleeping soundly. The sitting-room adjoining was burnt out.
