AN ABLE CHAIRMAN

Tributes paid to the president, Mr Arthur Morton, Egmont Village, at the conclusion of the National Dairy Conference in Palmerston North, were thoroughly well deserved. A conference of over 300 representatives of the dairy industry in rather parlous times requires a man with personality, tact, ability, and courtesy at the helm. Mr. Morton has all these qualifications, and in addition is a speaker who knows how to marshal his facts and how to present them effectively. Some years ago Mr. Morton was handed a signed note of appreciation from Press representatives, and those who were present at the conference this week appreciated similarly his splendid chairmanship for which he justifiably has established a reputation for himself.
