NORTH ISLAND CENTRES

AUCKLAND, June 28.

The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, will return to Auckland on Sunday. Their Excellencies will complete their first term of residence at Government House, Auckland, on July 13. On that date both Lord and Lady Galway will leave Auckland for a tour of various North Island centres, arriving at Rotorua the same day and leaving again on July 15, when they will motor to Whakatane, Opotiki, and Gisborne. They will leave Gisborne for Napier on July 17. and will arrive at rfapier that evening. In the course of their brief stay m Hawke's Bay, Lord and Lady Galway will also pay an official visit to Hastings, and on July 19 they will leave Napier, calling at Waipukurau and Woodville en route. 'Their Excellencies will arrive at Palmerston North on the evening of July 19, and next day Lord Galway will officially. open the new Fitzherbert Street Bridge over the Manawatu River. Their Excellencies will leave later that day for Wellington, where they will then go into residence.
