SUGAR SUBSIDY
RENEWAL IN BRITAIN

LONDON, June 6.
The Government will renew for a year from August 31 the subsidy on home-grown sugar, with certain modifications. It is estimated that the subsidy on the produce of 350,000 acres of sugar beet will be about £2,750,000. The subsidy on molasses will be discontinued.
