FOOTBALL INJURIES
A number of injured footballers were taken to Lewisham Hospital by the Free Ambulance on Saturday after- [ noon. At the Hutt Recreation Ground, J. McGurk, of 50 Britannia Street, Petone,* dislocated his left thumb. D. Griffiths, of 21 Rona Street, Eastbourne, received a cut on the forehead, and slight concussion, at the Kilbirnie Recreation Ground. C. J. Richie, of Roseneath Terrace, injured the muscles of his right side at the Petone Recreation Ground. W. A. de Ridder, of Ballance Street, Johnsonville, injured his left shoulder at the Lyall Bay Recreation Ground. R. Barbour', of 38 Dorking Road, Brooklyn, received concussion at the Polo Grounds, Miramar. At Plimmerton, C.
