MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Remands were granted by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in three cases in the Magistrate's .Court on Saturday.
Arrested yesterday by Detective J. M. Bourke and others, Gilbert Henry Lyster, aged 47, a carpenter, is to appear again on Wednesday on a charge of attempting to obtain from D. Robertson 10s by a false pretence.
Hugh Anthony Parker, aged 28, a labourer, was remanded until next Friday on a charge of stealing £40 from Ellen Langsford at Hastings. DetectiveSergeant L. Revell said that other charges would be made against him by Detective H. E. Campin.
A remand to appear at Auckland on Thursday was granted in the case of Alexander .Wallace Copley, aged 28, a labourer, who was arrested yesterday by Detective F. N. Eobinson and others on a charge of conspiring with other persons at Auckland on March 5 to defraud W. Johnstone of. £400.
