The Otaki Maori Racing Club's Meeting is being held on the Levin racecourse in fine weather. There is a good attendance. The course ,is in fairly good order after rain.
Results:—
Tararua Hack Hurdles, £90; li miles.—3 Air Laddie, 9.12, 1; 2 Esteem, 11.2, 2; 3 Salt Spray, 9.12, 3. All started. Three lengths; twelve lengths. Time, 2min 55sec.
Kuku Maiden Race, £40; 6 furlongs. —1 Sporting Song, 8.0 (R. Reed), 1; 3 Popette, 8.0, 2; 7 Eka Tere, 8.0, 3. All started. Two lengths. Time, lmin 15 3-ssec.
Waitohu Hack Handicap, £80; 6 furlongs.—2 Gold Mission, 8.9 (R. Savage), 1; 3 Debut, 9.2, 2; 7 Merry Ruler, 7.0, 3. Scr.: State Bank, Golden Enterprise. Three-quarters of a length. Time, lxnin 15sec.
Raukawa Cup Handicap, £200; 1J miles.—« Walton Park, 8.4 (P. Atkins), 1; 3 Lapel, 7.3, 2; 1 Might, 9.0, 3. Scr.: Chief Marionette. Neck. Time, 2min 11 4-ssec.
