MR. COATES'S OPINION

DUNEDIN, May 30.

An indication that the nieat discussions at present in progress in London might result in an agreement favourable to New Zealand was given by the Acting Minister of Finance .(the Hon. Adam Hamilton) in conversation with an "Otago Daily Times" reporter today. Mr. Hamilton stated that during the past few days he had had a further talk with the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates by radio telephone, and Mr. Coates had expressed the opinion that a' satisfactory outcome would be reached.

"Mr. Coates said he did not think there would be any further deadlocks," said.Mr. Hamilton. ' '
